Pressing Instructions
Pressing Instructions
- Position Your Design. Position the transfer in the desired location and be careful not to press over large wrinkles. Use butcher paper on design to prevent color bleeding onto heat press. It's recommended to use heat-resistant tape when pressing on hats or when using a household iron to prevent the transfer from moving. You'll get the hang of when it's needed with experience.
- Press. For best results, press the transfer at 400°F / 204°C with light to medium pressure for around 60 seconds. It's advisable to conduct a test with one piece first. To protect your garment from direct contact with the iron, use parchment paper or a Protective Guard Sheet. Applying more heat, pressure, or time won't harm the transfer, but it may scorch the garment. If your settings are causing scorch marks, start by reducing the pressure. If that doesn't work, maintain the reduced pressure and lower the heat by 10-15°F. With some practice, you'll be able to determine the perfect settings for each garment and material.
- Let Cool 10 Seconds, Then Peel. Lift the press and CAREFULLY remove the butcher paper and sublimation design.
Washing Instructions
Washing Instructions
For best results and longevity, wash the garment inside out in cold water and dry on low heat or hang to dry. While washing it with standard settings is fine, it will last longer with more delicate settings.
